Report: You Will Have To Wait At Local Emergency Rooms

If you are headed to the emergency room, get ready to wait.

USA Today reports hospitals in the Rochester-Finger Lakes Region have some of the longest emergency room wait times in New York State.

New federal data shows the average wait time in New York is 204 minutes, compared to the national average of 161 minutes.

Locally the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital’s wait time was 217 minutes; F.F. Thompson Hospital 206 minutes; Geneva General 157 minutes; and Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital is the quickest at 94 minutes.
