Wayne County Administrator Rick House has announced he will step down from his role at the end of March.
House informed Board of Supervisors Chair Kim Leonard of his decision Thursday and shared the news with department heads Friday, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
House, who spent 35 years with the sheriff’s office—most recently as undersheriff—was appointed interim administrator in 2015 and became the permanent administrator in 2016.
