Two Local Businesses Closing Their Doors

SHARE NOW

Two local businesses are closing their doors.  Red Jacket Orchards Farm Store in Geneva and Woody’s Bar and Gill in Seneca Falls have both announced on Facebook recently they were closing.

Red Jacket President and CEO Brain Nicholson wrote they are celebrating 65 years of growth and innovation! With that time comes much change and response to business demands. After great review, soul searching, and discussions, we realize that it is time for us to exit the local retail market.

Woody’s owner Liz Legott-Comatis wrote in a Facebook post that the restaurant would not be renewing its lease with the Quality Inn located along State Route 414 in Seneca Falls.  The last day for Woody’s will be Saturday May 27th.

Woody’s started up after longtime Seneca Falls favorite restaurant Abigail’s closed. Abigail’s was known for great food including a buffet and Marshall’s famous Blue Bayou Chicken Wings.  Those chicken wings were voted the best in the 2013 film “The Great Chicken Wing Hunt.”
