Saying it is a “crucial event” that is focused on lake health and water quality, the Seneca Lake Pure Waters Association will hold its 2024 Seneca Lake Water Quality Symposium next week.

Taking place on August 26 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the 41 Lakefront Hotel in Geneva, this free symposium is open to the public and aims to foster an informed discussion on the latest research and initiatives impacting Seneca Lake.

The symposium will feature presentations from regional experts who will share insights into ongoing quality research and actions being taken to protect the lake. Speakers include:
  • Grascen Shidemantle, Ph.D., Executive Director, Community Science Institute, providing a summary of 10 Years of Water Quality monitoring data from Seneca Lake Tributaries.
