One Seneca County school district has chosen its next Superintendent. Jennifer Hayden was appointed by the Romulus School Board of Education during a special meeting Thursday night.
Hayden joins Romulus from Waterloo, where she currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. With over a quarter-century of experience in the instructional field, Hayden has also served as principal, assistant principal, and literacy coach with the North Rose School District.
“It is a true privilege to be joining the Romulus Central School District as your next Superintendent,” expressed Hayden. “I am genuinely excited to meet our school community. Romulus holds a profound history and culture, and I am looking forward to building on the current opportunities and the solid foundation already in place to achieve the highest standards for all.”
“On behalf of the Romulus Board of Education, we would like to sincerely thank all those who supported and participated in this process,” stated Board President Rachelle Bateman. “It is clear that Mrs. Hayden’s passion aligns with our district’s needs and culture. Her experience and skills align with our goals of providing an educational environment that supports achievement and scholarship for all students. We thank Mr. Rotz for his 26 years in the district, 11 of which he served as Superintendent, and wish him all the best in his retirement.”
Mrs. Hayden will assume the responsibilities of the Romulus Central School District Superintendent position on July 1. The Romulus Central School District Superintendent Search was facilitated in collaboration with Lynne Rutnik, District Superintendent and Chief
Executive Officer of Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES and the Romulus Board of Education.
