A Middlesex man was airlifted to a Rochester hospital after a motorcycle crash on Wednesday afternoon in Gorham.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 5 p.m. to the intersection of County Road 11 and Long Point Road for a reported personal injury accident involving a motorcycle.

An investigation determined that 21-year-old Vanesa Mutapcic of Rochester failed to yield the right-of-way to a motorcycle operated by 62-year-old John Bucklaew

Deputies said Mutapcic entered the roadway, causing Bucklaew’s motorcycle to collide with her vehicle.

Bucklaew suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was flown by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment. Authorities said his condition is stable.

Mutapcic was issued traffic citations in connection with the crash.

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office investigated the incident with assistance from the Middlesex Fire Department, Middlesex EMS, and Mercy Flight.
