On Friday, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 42-year-old Lyons man following an investigation into residency requirements for registered sex offenders.
Cleve Catchings was taken into custody by investigators for allegedly failing to notify authorities of a change in his address. It is alleged that between December 26, 2025, and January 9, 2026, Catchings moved to a new residence and failed to report the move as required by New York State Correction Law.
Catchings was charged with Failure to Register or Change Address. He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charge in Lyons Town Court at a later date.
