A Cayuga County healthcare project is one of the over 50 across New York to receive funding through the Health Care Facility Transformation Program IV.
Governor Kathy Hochul announced that nearly $300 million would go to support projects designed to expand access to inpatient, primary, behavioral health, and long-term care services.
“This targeted investment will help ensure that every New Yorker — regardless of ZIP code — can access safe, high-quality health care,” Governor Hochul said. “By supporting providers that serve vulnerable and underserved populations, we’re strengthening the foundation of our health care system and building a healthier future for all.”
Unity House of Cayuga County has been awarded $646,856 for its New Life II project. The state says the project will let Unity House “acquire property to replace the homes of residents with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and preserve essential services.”
Unity House is a nonprofit that provides services to those with mental illnesses, developmental disabilities, and/or substance use disorders in Cayuga, Onondaga, Ontario, Oswego, Seneca, Tioga, Tompkins, and Wayne Counties.
