One local museum is making it easier for people of all backgrounds to take in their rich history.
The Seward House Museum in Auburn has announced that it has joined the Institute of Museum and Library Services’ Museums for All program. Administered by the Association of Children’s Museums, the program seeks to make it easier for those receiving food assistance (SNAP) benefits to visit museums.
Under the program, by presenting a SNAP EBT card, people can gain admission to the Seward House for free. Up to four people can enter for free with one card.
The museum is open from Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00a-5:00p for the season. From June through September, the museum is also open on Sundays from 1:00p. For more information, visit sewardhouse.org.
