Legislature Chair Asking Cayuga County Residents to Take Micron Survey

SHARE NOW

If you live in Cayuga County, you’re being asked to provide feedback on Micron’s planned move into the area.

Legislature Chairman David Gould is encouraging residents to take the Micron Community Engagement Committee’s survey to help identify community priorities for the semiconductor company to invest in such as education and housing.

Gould said in a press release “Cayuga County is currently working collaboratively with the City of Auburn and other key stakeholders to prepare for Micron. This collaborative work includes participation by local business leaders, and members of the established subcommittees, to identify potential challenges and review options to move through those challenges.”

The survey takes about four minutes to complete and can be accessed using this link.

The committee is made up of local stakeholders and was formed as part of the October 2022 Community Investment Framework agreement between New York and Micron. Its goal is to ensure community participation and discussion of the microchip manufacturer’s investments in the region.
