The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office will take part in the DEA’s national drug takeback event next month.
Deputies will be at the Fingerlakes Mall for a drive-thru takeback at the mall’s eastern entrance parking lot by the former JC Penney’s.
Attendees can ensure unneeded medication is properly disposed of. Acceptable items include: prescriptions, prescription patches, pet medication, over-the-counter medications, samples, prescription ointments, and vitamins. No sharps or needles will be accepted, though.
The drug takeback event will take place from 10:00a-2:00p on Saturday, April 26.
