In an effort to reduce the backlog of cases in courts across the state, Governor Kathy Hochul signed legislation in July to add 28 new judges to the state’s court system thus creating the new family court judge position in Cayuga County to be voted on during the general election.
Early voting runs from October 25 through November 3 and Election Day is Tuesday, November 5.
