Auburn Seeking Grants for Culvert Replacement Projects

SHARE NOW

The City of Auburn is applying for grant funding for culvert work.

Bridge NY grant funding would help with work on four culverts throughout the city -the Brookside Drive Culvert over Tributary No. 1, the Burgess Ave Culvert over Wood Brook, and the North Marvine Ave and North Herman Ave Culverts over North Hunter Brook.

Speaking on FLX Morning, City Clerk Chuck Mason said Bridge NY has been an invaluable funding source for communities throughout Upstate.

“The Bridge NY has been great for the City of Auburn and has funded several of these projects all around Upstate New York,” Mason said.

Bridge NY is already funding two projects in the city currently under design – the Aurelius and Lake Ave bridge projects.

Awardees are expected to be announced in the spring.
