Five food pantries in Cayuga and Tompkins Counties are getting an early Christmas present.

Cayuga Lake National Bank has announced that it applied for a Small Business Recovery Grant on behalf of the food pantries, and each pantry will receive $9,400. The pantries receiving funding are the Groton Community Cupboard, King Ferry Food Pantry, Lansing Food Pantry, Moravia Hope Pantry, and the Union Springs Food Pantry (formerly the Western Cayuga Food Pantry).

The funding will help each pantry continue the work it does in its respective community.
