On Wednesday May 7th at 3 p.m. a ribbon cutting ceremony was held in honor of the 40th anniversary for Knapp Winery, a local winery located at 2770 Ernsberger Rd, Romulus, NY 14541.
In attendance were members of the community, Chamber staff & board members, Varick Town Supervisor Bob Hayssen, Assistant Legislator Craig Pemberton, and many more.
They offered light refreshments, wine tastings, and held a gathering to celebrate before and after the cutting of the ribbon. Knapp Winery was established in 1984 by Doug and Susan Knapp, and in 2021 was purchased by new owners Cole and Karen Wilson. According to their website, “Knapp has a long tradition of producing premium, popular wines on the soils of Cayuga Lake. Located close to Seneca Falls and easily accessible from the New York State Thru-Way, Knapp Winery has been a destination winery from its inception.”
Knapp Winery is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. year-round. Whether you’re looking for a tasting, live music, or food, they’ve got you covered. In addition to their winery and tastings, they offer light bites from their on-site restaurant, Field and Vine, where
you can have lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch.
