A Wayne County man is going to prison for possessing child porn.
According to the US Attorney’s Office, Frederick Trevitt was sentenced to 144 months in prison on Thursday by US District Judge Charles Siragusa.
Assistant US Attorney Meghan McGuire handled the case. She stated that on January 4, 2023, the 63-year-old Newark man was found with a laptop containing 368 images and 26 videos of child pornography, including those depicting violence and sexual abuse of an infant or toddler. He also admitted in court engaging in a pattern of activity involving the sexual abuse of a minor for approximately seven years.
Back in October, it was announced that Trevitt pled guilty to possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor.
