Geneva fire crews responded to a well-involved structure fire Sunday night at a vacant home on Eagle Street.

The Geneva Fire Department was dispatched to 8 Eagle Street before 7 p.m., where firefighters found heavy fire conditions upon arrival. Crews worked to bring the blaze under control within about an hour.

Firefighters remained on scene afterward to extinguish hot spots and ensure the fire did not rekindle.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire has not been released.

The Geneva Police Department is now asking for the public’s help as the investigation continues. Anyone who captured photos or video of the fire is asked to submit them through the department’s online evidence portal.

Police say submissions can be made anonymously and may assist investigators.
