Flash Flood Warning issued for Steuben
A Flash Flood Warning has just been issued for western Steuben County until 7:15 p.m. Doppler radar is showing thunderstorms dumping heavy rain across the area, with between one-half and three inches already fallen. Flash flooding is happening now or expected to begin shortly.
Small creeks and streams in western Steuben are at risk of flooding, along with urban areas and poor drainage zones. If you're in the warned area, avoid crossing flooded roads and stay away from creeks and streams. The heaviest rain should move out by mid-evening, but conditions remain dangerous through the warning period.
