Two New York State Troopers were seriously injured after the patrol car they were sitting in was struck from behind by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 90.
It happened as the Troopers were investigating a separate motor vehicle accident just outside of Albany early Saturday morning. Both Troopers were taken to Albany Medical Center where they were treated for serious injuries and have since been released.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to State Police barracks in Latham for questioning.
The investigation is continuing.
