Two Syracuse men are facing felony charges after being caught with a significant amount of drugs in Cortland County.
According to State Police, the arrests stem from a Sunday night traffic stop on I-81 North in Cortlandville when a trooper stopped a vehicle for having unilluminated taillights. After receiving conflicting information from the vehicle’s occupants, the trooper began a search of the vehicle.
The search turned up 110 bricks of heroin with an aggregated weight of over eight ounces, two containers of cannabis wax, and approximately three ounces of cannabis. Troopers also found drug paraphernalia.
25-year-old Kenneth Williams and 22-year-old Kyrell Robinson were each charged with two felony counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and a misdemeanor count of Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia.
Both men were taken to the Cortland County Correctional Facility for arraignment.
