A group of Central New York teenagers face criminal charges for allegedly tampering with their high school’s online portal.
An investigation by the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office which resulted in charges being brought against seven Liverpool High School students started in early November. Five of the students were charged with felony computer trespass and tampering and the remaining two were charged with misdemeanor unauthorized computer use.
WSYR-TV reports the investigation found no grades were changed within the portal, but discipline files were accessed for multiple students, and data was changed.
