A woman who seeking a seat on one Southern Tier school district’s board of education was arrested Sunday.
According to the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office, Nicole Tirgari-White was charged with harassment and endangering the welfare of a child following a disturbance in Southport. The 36-year-old was released on an appearance ticket.
According to WETM-TV in Elmira, Tirgari-White currently a candidate for a seat on the Horseheads School Board, which is being decided by voters today
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
