Ex-Brockport JV Coach Admits to Sexual Contact With Teen

SHARE NOW

Months after pleading not guilty in a Monroe County Courtroom, to nine counts of criminal sexual act, a former girls’ JV basketball and softball coach at Brockport High School has admitted to having sexual contact with a student-athlete. 29-year-old Anne Collins pleaded guilty earlier this week to two counts of third-degree criminal sexual act.

According to court papers, Collins was 22 years old and the student was 15 years old and an athlete at the time of the alleged incidents. Collins worked as a coach at Brockport from 2017 to 2022. She started work as a social worker at Monroe One BOCES in 2019 and did not return to the job last fall.

Police say the victim in this case came forward with the allegations in March and the investigation determined that none of the criminal conduct took place on school property.

Collins will be back in court for sentencing on April 22nd.
