A Syracuse man is facing multiple charges after fleeing police Thursday morning with a large amount of drugs in the City of Auburn.
At around 1:00a, police say they tried to stop a Toyota SUV, however the vehicle took off. The driver, later identified as 26-year old Dasir Johnson, pulled into Plaza Drive, off Grant Ave and fled on foot, but was taken into custody moments later.
He was found to be in possession of multiple drugs and paraphernalia including 3.3 grams of cocaine, 6.5 grams of crack, over 27 ounces of molly, 13-hundred dollars cash, and weighing and packing materials.
Johnson, who is already awaiting sentencing for various drug and gun charges in Onondaga County, was charged, processed, and taken to the Cayuga County Jail to await arraignment.
Johnson was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and one count each of Imitation Controlled Substance, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer, Uninspected Motor Vehicle, Speed in Zone, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation.
