We have another report of an inmate allegedly attempting to escape the Steuben County Jail.
The day before Joshua Jackson of Bath attempted to escape by climbing into the ceiling of the booking area at the jail, Nathan Foresman, of Pennsylvania, allegedly attempted to forcibly steal an access control device from a Corrections Officer with the intent to use it to escape.
The 42-year-old was charged with escape and robbery, both felonies following Friday’s incident.
Sheriff Jim Allard said in both incidents, neither man ever left the custody of the jail.
