Another indictment has been made against the former Auburn School Resource Officer alleged to have sexually abused a student at Auburn High School.
According to Cayuga County District Attorney Brittany Grome Antonocci, William Morrissey has been indicted by a Grand Jury on one count of Criminal Contempt for actions occurring in October of last year where he is alleged to have violated an order of protection by contacting the protected party via Snapchat.
This charge will be added to Morrissey’s existing charges of Sexual Abuse, Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors, Official Misconduct, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child for his alleged inappropriate conduct with a 14-year old student in 2022.
Morrissey was jailed without bail.
Grome Antonocci added that, If convicted, Morrissey faces up to 14 years in prison followed by 10 years post release supervision. He would also be required to register as a sex offender.
