Police say a disturbance between a man and a woman last night in Wayne County resulted in one of them fighting for their life in the hospital and the other facing attempted murder charges.
22-year-old Chet Dewolf, of Newark, is accused of slitting the throat of a woman and stabbing her multiple times at a home in the town of Arcadia. The unidentified victim was airlifted to Strong where she is listed in critical condition. Dewolf had fled the scene by the time police arrived but was later taken into custody.
Dewolf is in Wayne County Jail awaiting arraignment.
