Linda Lavina Rinchack, age 73, of Brooktondale, NY, passed away peacefully at the Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY, on April 3, 2026. Born on October 28, 1952, in Ithaca, NY, Linda was the beloved daughter of Floyd and Betty (Nase) Bentley.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest J. Rinchack, and her three children, Paul (Kim) Bently, Ronald (Diane) Rinchack, and Brian Rinchack; her grandchildren, Joey, Ashley, Robert, Johnathon, Nicolas, and Dylan; four great-grandchildren; and her sister, Bonnie Nase. She was preceded in death by her brother, Fay Nase, and her parents.

Linda grew up moving from state to state and always wanted to settle in one place to make a home. That time came when she met her husband, Joe. They finally settled in Brooktondale, NY, where she was able to live her life as a stay-at-home mother, loving wife, and friend to many. She loved her dogs, which she had many over the years: Rascal, Little Joe, Poncho, Cinnamon, Frosty, Bumpers, Barney, Tator, and Baily. She also loved horses and simple country living. She loved movies like Grease, Herbie the Love Bug, and Sister Act. She loved television shows like My 600lb Life, WWE Wrestling, and old Westerns.

Most of all, she loved family. She loved spending time with family, joking, and laughing. She loved riding around the back country roads on warm summer days. She was always willing to sit and talk about anything and nothing. She lived her life happy, enjoying the small things.

Linda’s family will celebrate her life on May 16, 2026, at the Herson-Wagner Funeral Home. Visitation begins at 9 AM, celebration of life begins at 10 AM, followed by a reception, location TBD. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), a cause close to her heart.
