Catherine L. Chadwick

Catherine L. Chadwick, 91, of Moravia, passed away on June 30, 2026, at Auburn Community Hospital.

Catherine was born July 26, 1934, in Queens, NYC, a daughter of the late George and Amelia (Kratzki) Koch. She was a resident of the area for the past fifty years and had worked for many years as a cleaner for the Southern Cayuga Central School District.

She is survived by her children: Joseph Chadwick (Betty), of Genoa; Elizabeth Elser (Doug), of King Ferry; Jean Blair (Stevie), of AL; Jane Mills (Robert), of Plattsburg; Edward Chadwick (Mel), of FL; Mary Chadwick (Frank), of King Ferry; and Florence Banner (Mike), of Horseheads; 48 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and step-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Joseph T. Chadwick, on October 20, 2006; a daughter, Catherine Fenton, in 2024; and by several brothers and sisters.

At Catherine's request, there will be no public services. Memorial contributions are recommended to Four Town Ambulance, P.O. Box 28, Moravia, NY 13118.

Catherine's family extends appreciation to the staff of Auburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for their care in the recent weeks.
