As Russia continues its violent war against the people of Ukraine, some Ukrainians are temporarily calling Auburn and Cayuga County home.
Toni Bauso with Literacy Volunteers of Cayuga County explains how her organization is helping these refugees.
She adds that what they need most at the moment is manpower and materials.
Despite the culture shock and language barrier, the Ukrainians who spoke with Finger Lakes Daily News said Auburn has been a welcoming place.
They would also like to extend their gratitude to the people of Auburn.
