Registration is now open for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cayuga County’s Youth Tractor Safety Certification classes.
The course will teach the safe operation and maintenance of large farm equipment through demonstrations, videos, and hands on practice.
By law, teens 14-16 are required to have at least 24 hours of instruction to drive a tractor on a farm not owned by their parents.
This will be the only such course offered this year in Cayuga County.
Classes begin March 1st and there is a registration deadline of February 24th. Registration can be done by calling 315-255-1183 or emailing [email protected].
