One Democrat Drops Out of Auburn City Council Race

SHARE NOW

There is one fewer democrat running for a seat on Auburn’s City Council.

Terry Winslow will no longer seek his party’s nomination for the position. This leaves Cayuga County Legislator Christina Calarco and Auburn School Board member Doctor Rhoda Overstreet-Wilson as the two democrats who want to run for the two seats which will be up for grabs on this year’s ballot.

If no other democrat announces his or her candidacy, the party can avoid a primary.

After Mayor Michael Quill’s announcement that he will not seek reelection, Councilor Jimmy Giannettino made clear his intentions to succeed Quill.

Councilor Tim Locrastro’s seat is up for grabs as well. Locastro has yet to announce whether or not he will run again.
