Auburn firefighters battled a house fire Tuesday morning.
The fire department says it responded to a Wall Street home just before 7:30a where they found light smoke coming from the second floor.
Crews entered the house but were met with zero visibility and high heat conditions. That, along with the house’s “maze-type configuration,” forced the members back outside.
The fire was hit from outside and crews were then able to reenter.
The property suffered from smoke and fire damage upstairs and water damage downstairs.
No injuries were reported and one dog was rescued from the structure.
The fire’s cause is under investigation.
