The teen who killed ten people, including an Auburn resident, at a Buffalo Tops last May will spend the rest of his life in prison.
19-year old Payton Gendron was sentenced in court Wednesday to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the mass shooting.
In November, Gendron pled guilty to one count of terrorism motivated by hate, 10 counts of murder, and three counts of attempted murder after he entered the Buffalo grocery store in a predominately black neighborhood and shot 13 people, killing 10.
One of the victims killed was Auburn resident Andre Mackniel who was buying a cake for his three year old son’s birthday.
