Three events have been planned for the City of Auburn to celebrate Harriet Tubman Day.
On March 9th, The Carriage House Theater will hold a discussion and book signing by Doctor Clarence Lusane, author of Twenty Dollars and Change which covers the abolitionist’s legacy.
The following day will see a ceremony held at the Equal Rights Heritage Center to commemorate the holiday.
Finally, on the 11th, the National Park Service will hold a community meeting about the future of the Thompson Memorial AME Zion Church which is part of the Harriet Tubman National Historical Park and expected to open this summer.
