An Auburn man is facing drug and weapon charges after a traffic stop in the city early Thursday morning.
Police say they stopped a pick-up truck just after 1:00a being driven by 26-year old Jessie Wright, who was involved in a harassment complaint earlier that night, allegedly threatening the use of a firearm.
He was uncooperative during the stop, trying to conceal what was later found to be 12g of cocaine in his hand. A subsequent search of the vehicle by the Finger Lakes Drug Taskforce also turned up a 9mm handgun and 80g of hallucinogenic mushrooms.
Wright was arrested and charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of criminal possession of a weapon.
