Former Cayuga County Undersheriff Honored Posthumously

A new exhibit in Florida will honor a former Cayuga County Undersheriff  Stephen McLoud who lost his life from cancer as a result of the September 11th terrorist attacks in New York City.

The Running 4 Heroes Tribute Hall in Winter Springs, Florida will launch an exhibit sharing the story of Undersheriff  McLoud who died of cancer developed as a result of his search and rescue efforts in the wake of the attack.

The hall will also display his face mask worn while performing his duties. The mask still contains dust from the attack.
