You can register now to take part in the 3rd annual Lights on Wheels parade that will be held in the village of Penn Yan in early December.
The parade route has been updated and is a longer route than in previous years. The parade will stage and line up at the Yates County Fairgrounds and then go from East Main Street. From there it will continue on all through Main Street and end on North Main Street at the Yates Community Center’s parking lots.
Registration is free and can be done online or by dropping off or mailing back this form to the Yates County Chamber of Commerce office. The deadline to return is December 5th.
This year’s parade on December 7th starts at 6 and follows StarShine, which will take place between 3 and 6 p.m.
Voting for the following awards will take place during the parade by a handful a local celebrity judges.
The following awards and cash prizes will be given out:
- Best Use of Lights ($50)
- Best Use of Theme ($50)
- Best Tractor ($50)
- Best Float ($50)
- Most Holiday Spirit ($50)
- Best Overall ($100)
