For the second time this year, the Raceway Convenience store on North Franklin Street in Watkins Glen has been raided by authorities.
The New York State Office of Cannabis Management conducted Monday’s raid and seized the store for illegal sales and possession of marijuana. The Watkins Glen Police Department reports an unknown amount of marijuana was recovered along with 20 pairs of counterfeit Nike sneakers. The state changed the locks on the doors of the store, which will remain closed until further notice.
Back in January, authorities conducted a similar raid and seized an undisclosed amount of cannabis, concentrated cannabis, illegal weapons, drug paraphernalia, a vehicle, cash, and other undisclosed items.
