One Steuben County transfer station will be closed for one week in November for what county officials say will be essential site upgrades.

The Erwin Transfer Station will be closed from November 18th through November 23rd to all commercial haulers and dump trailers. Residents can still use that Transfer Station during this period for bagged garbage and recycling.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” said Eddie VanStine, Steuben County Public Information Director. “We appreciate your understanding as we work to upgrade our facilities for better efficiency and safety.”
