Ithaca Seeks Public Input for $10 Million DRI Bid

SHARE NOW

The City of Ithaca is seeking community input as it prepares an application for Round 9 of New York State’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI), a program that could bring $10 million in funding to enhance and energize the downtown area.

To help shape the application, the city’s DRI Steering Committee is reviewing potential projects and is inviting the public to weigh in.

Public Meeting Scheduled

Residents are encouraged to attend an upcoming meeting to learn more and offer feedback:

  • Date: Tuesday, July 29
  • Time: 5:00–7:00 p.m.
  • Location: Tompkins County Public Library

The meeting will highlight the direction of Ithaca’s application and showcase projects submitted during the city’s recent open call. Attendees will have the opportunity to share input on which initiatives should move forward.

Those unable to attend can still participate by filling out a public survey available online. Community comments will help prioritize projects and strengthen the city’s application.

“In order to develop a competitive DRI application, public input and a strong list of diverse projects are crucial,” said Emma Recckio, Grant Administrator for the City of Ithaca. “Your input is greatly valued in this process.”
