Community Dinner Raises $16K for Yates Community Center

Last month’s Yates County Community Table Dinner raised more than $16,000 for the Yates Community Center in Penn Yan.

The Dinner Committee presented a check to Dawn Shipman and the Community this week for $16,200 that will be used towards new facilities to be built at their North Main Street location.

This year’s dinner actually took place on the grounds of the Community Center after organizers decided to move the event off the Main Street bridge after the threat of inclement weather. Each year, the proceeds of the dinner go to support a local nonprofit organization.
