After admitting back in the Spring to felony charges of burglary and arson in Schuyler County Court, a Burdett man has learned his punishment.
Zane Seubert was sentenced in mid-July to two-to-six years in state prison on the burglary charge and one to three years on the arson conviction. The 46-year-old also paid 60-THOUSAND dollars in restitution prior to being sentenced.
During his plea back in May, Seubert admitted he burglarized multiple campers that were stored at a facility in Hector in March of 2023. He also admitted to entering a building located in front of the Hector Union Cemetery and while inside, intentionally set some hay on fire in an attempt to light a cigarette. Seubert then left the building while the hay was still on fire, which caused $60,000 in damages to the building.
