Investigators are still looking into the cause of a Tuesday morning barn fire in Yates County.
The fire broke out just after 7 Tuesday morning at 693 Beam Road in Starkey. The owners of the property, Joshua and Cassandra Wisely were able to remove some of the livestock inside of the barn prior to the arrival of firefighters from Dundee, Tyrone, and Himrod. However, seven animals perished in the fire. The barn was a total loss.
In addition to the three fire departments, Dundee Ambulance also responded to the scene, along with the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
