Two people suffered minor injuries in a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of State Route 414 and State Route 104 in the Town of Huron.
Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Saturday midday collision, which began in the westbound lane of State Route 104 and continued onto Lake Bluff Road.
According to investigators, a small car had been stopped at the flashing red light on State Route 414 before proceeding north onto State Route 104. Sheriff’s deputies allege the vehicle pulled into the path of westbound traffic, where it was struck by a pickup truck towing a camper.
The impact caused both vehicles to skid northwest, where they collided with a pickup truck that was stopped on Lake Bluff Road and facing south.
The driver and passenger of the small car, identified as Yiran Lei of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Xuan Qian of Ithaca, were transported to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities said all other occupants involved in the crash were evaluated at the scene and declined further medical treatment.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the New York State Police, Wayne County EMS, the Alton, Rose and North Rose fire departments, Featherly’s Towing, Juliano’s Towing and Wayne County Towing.
