A Port Byron native will return to her hometown next month for an author talk highlighting her new book.
The Port Byron Library (12 Sponable Dr, Port Byron) will host author Kilmer Mann on May 1 to discuss her new book, Bending the Blues in Cincinnati. The event will begin at 4:30p and is free to the public. Refreshments will be served, and copies of the book will be available for purchase.
The library said the book “weaves together multiple storylines, including end-of-life compassion, family secrets, forgiveness, and second chances.”
The library added that, while Mann has had her stories published in magazines and anthology collections, Bending the Blues in Cincinnati represents her debut as a novelist.
Mann currently lives in Colorado with her husband and dog, but the library noted she enjoys returning to her hometown.
