The Penn Yan Police Department is announcing a promotion within its ranks.

Officer Tyler Brzezinski has been promoted to sergeant. Brzezinski joined the department in 2021 after graduating from the Alfred State Police Academy. Before that, he graduated from Haverling High School in Bath in 2017, then continued his education at Corning Community College and later Saint Bonaventure University.

Chief Thomas Dunham said, “Since being hired at the police department, Tyler has been an active member of the department and is truly an asset to the office and community.”
