A Keuka Park man drove his car off the City Pier and into Canandaigua Lake at around 1 o’clock Tuesday morning.
Dutcher Samatulski told police he had stopped on the Pier to rest when he inadvertently drove into the lake while performing a U-Turn. The 19-year-old got out of his car and swam to shore. He was taken to Thompson Hospital for exposure and potential hypothermia.
Police say drugs and alcohol were not factors in the accident.
Samatulski was ticketed for an unsafe lane change.
