A Wolcott man is going to spend the next 15 years in prison for his role in a Moravia robbery.
The Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office has announced that Trent Goodrich has received the maximum sentence for his robbery conviction. On August 14, 2023, he pled guilty to the robbery.
Goodrich admitted that, on April 11, 2022, he and two others robbed a man of his wallet and phone in the Town of Moravia. He then fled to Georgia but was arrested following a high-speed chase and sentenced to prison. He was then extradited to New York.
Following his prison sentence, Goodrich will see five years post-release supervision and have to pay $4,125 in extradition costs and restitution. An order of protection was also issued in favor of the victim.
Goodrich was arrested in September in Wayne County following a car chase that resulted in a crash in Huron.
