The investigation into a domestic dispute in Wayne County on Thursday resulted in the arrest of a Town of Galen woman.
It was reported to police that Jolene Laplant arrived at another family member’s home and demanded money, which caused a disturbance. Laplant is alleged to have then shoved a 14-year-old and took a wallet out of their hand and stole 100 dollars from it. Laplant was located down the road by deputies and placed under arrest.
Laplant was charged with robbery, petit larceny, harassment, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
